CHEESE SURPRISES

2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
1 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. ground pepper
1 pkg. dates, cut in half

Grate cheese, cream with butter, salt and pepper. Make into a ball. Wrap about 1 teaspoon dough around a half date. Roll into a ball using palms of hands. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Freezes well!

CHIVE OLIVE CHEESE SURPRISES

1 pkg. refrigerated buttermilk biscuit
dough
1 (3 oz.) pkg. chive & olive cream
cheese

Separate biscuits and cut each in 3 pieces. Put small amount of cheese on each biscuit and press dough all around to make small ball. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet on 350 degrees for 10 minutes until brown.
