CRACKER JACK POPCORN

6 qts. popped corn

Boil for 5 minutes then remove from heat: 1 tsp. salt 2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. dark Karo syrup Add: 1 tsp. vanilla Pour all of above over popped corn. Spread in 2 large, greased deep pans. Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour, stirring each 15 minutes. Cool, break apart, eat!

CRACKER JACK POPCORN

1 c. butter
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. soda
5 qts. popped popcorn

In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and syrup. Stir until it comes to a boil. Let boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and soda. It will foam up and thicken. Pour over popped popcorn. Stir until coated. Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add peanuts to syrup before pouring over popcorn if desired.
