CRACKER JACKS
8 to 9 qts. popped corn
1/2 c. white Karo
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 c. light brown sugar
2 cubes oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
Bring sugar, Karo and oleo to a boil, boil 5 minutes, add vanilla and salt and soda. Stir to mix well and pour over popped corn. Mix well. Use 2 large flat pans, bake 1 hour at 250 degrees. Stir every 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir several times until cool. Roasted peanuts may be added just after syrup is poured over corn. Cool and store in canisters or EAT IT ALL!!

2 gallon popped corn
2 c. brown sugar
2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
2 tbsp. molasses
1/2 tsp. vinegar
Boil brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon soda, 2 tablespoons molasses and 1/2 teaspoon vinegar. Pour over the popcorn and stir well. Put in a flat bread pan about half full. Heat oven to 250 degrees, stirring every few minutes, until light brown. Remove from oven and spread on waxed paper to cool. Can be stored in airtight can for a long time.
