DATE BALLS

1 stick margarine or butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, finely cut
1 tsp. vanilla
2 heaping cups of Rice Krispies
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3/4 c. coconut

Combine margarine, sugar, dates and egg in a saucepan. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Add vanilla. Cool. Add Rice Krispies and pecans. Form into balls and roll in coconut.

DATE BALLS

2 sticks margarine
2 boxes dates, chopped
2 well beaten eggs
2 c. sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. pecan pieces
Rice Krispies

Cook all together over medium heat for 10 minutes. Pour over 4 cups Rice Krispies. When cool enough to handle, shape into balls and roll in coconut.
