DATE-MARSHMALLOW LOG

3 c. graham cracker crumbs
2 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
3 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. evaporated milk (not the
sweet condensed kind)

Combine marshmallows, dates and nuts. Mix thoroughly with 2 3/4 cups of the graham cracker crumbs. Add the canned milk. Mix thoroughly. Shape into a roll or divide and make 2 rolls. Roll these in the remaining graham cracker crumbs on wax paper. Wrap in wax paper and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Take out and cut in slices to serve. Good served with Cool Whip on top of a slice and topped with half a maraschino cherry.

CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW LOG

1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
4 tbsp. butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. miniature marshmallows
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts

Melt together chips and butter and gradually add powdered sugar. Cool and add egg, salt, vanilla, walnuts, and marshmallows. Form into 3 logs and roll in coconut. Wrap in wax paper and freeze.
