SALTED PEANUT CHEWS

Heat oven to 350 degrees.BASE:
1 Jiffy yellow cake mix
1 egg
1/3 c. oleo

Mix all the above at low speed, press in ungreased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 12 to 18 minutes. Remove and add 3 cups miniature marshmallows. Return to oven 1-2 minutes until it begins to puff. Cool well.TOPPING:
2/3 c. Karo light syrup
1/4 c. oleo
2 c. Rice Krispies
2 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. pkg. butterscotch chips
2 c. salted peanuts

Heat Karo, oleo, vanilla and chips until chips are melted and smooth. Stir constantly. Remove from heat, stir in cereal and peanuts. Immediately spoon over marshmallows, spread to cover, chill and cut into bars. Store in covered container. OPTIONAL: You can use chocolate chips and chocolate cake or peanut butter chips instead of butterscotch.

BASE:
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. margarine
1 egg

Mix at low speed until crumbly. Press into bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 18 minutes until golden. Remove from heat, immediately sprinkle with mini marshmallows. Return to oven 1 minute until they puff. Cool while preparing topping.TOPPING:

In large saucepan heat: 1/4 c. margarine 2 tsp. vanilla 1 (12 oz.) pkg. peanut butter chips Heat until chips are melted and mixture is smooth stirring consistency. Remove from heat. Stir in: 2 c. salted peanuts
