SUGAR-COATED PEANUTS

1 lb. raw or unsalted peanuts
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
Drop of red food coloring

Stir peanuts in sugar and boil for 20 minutes. Put into a baking tin to cool and then enjoy a nice snack.

SUGAR COATED PEANUTS

2 c. raw peanuts
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Combine all ingredients. (An electric fry pan works wonderfully.) Bring to a boil, lower heat slightly. Stir until liquid has evaporated and nuts are coated. Spread out on jelly roll or shallow pan. Bake in oven at 225 degrees for one hour. These make great gifts. Put in a fancy glass jar.
