SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN WINGS
12 chicken wings
1/3 c. cider vinegar
5 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. apricot jam
2 tbsp. chili sauce
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in 1/4
c. water
2 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 tbsp. brown sugar
Place wings in ovenproof dish - set aside. Combine vinegar, sugar, jam, chili sauce and soy sauce in pan. Gradually add cornstarch mixture until thickened. Dot chicken wings with butter, sprinkle with brown sugar. Pour sauce over chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. If desired, crisp under broiler for 2-3 minutes before serving.
SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN WINGS
24 to 30 chicken wings
1 c. soy sauce
1 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. pineapple juice
1/4 c. salad oil
1 tbsp. ginger
1 tbsp. garlic powder
Cut off tips of wings; discard. Cut wings in two at joints. Combine remaining ingredients. Marinate wings in mixture overnight. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6 to 8.
