TRIPLE TREATS
2 c. milk chocolate chips
2 tbsp. vegetable shortening
30 vanilla caramels
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. water
1 c. chopped peanuts
Melt one cup chips and 1 tablespoon shortening in pan over boiling water; stir until smooth. Pour into 8 inch foil lined pan; refrigerate until firm. Combine caramels, butter, and water in pan over boiling water (or heavy saucepan) until smooth; stir in peanuts. Pour over set chocolate and refrigerate until tacky. Top with remaining chips and shortening which have been melted together. Return to refrigerator until firm. Cut into 1 x 2 inch rectangles. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Home Health Care/Hospice
